Packer/Inspector
Summary
Position will be required to visually inspect and pack plastic containers according to the company’s safety, quality, housekeeping and production standards.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Pack bottles.
- Visually inspect bottles for defects.
- Make boxes.
- Grind material.
- Adhere to good safety and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to understand and use necessary hand tools and secondary equipment (i.e. flamers, leak detectors, grinders, blenders, etc.).
- Promptly reports major safety, quality or production problems.
- Ensure that all required documentation are available and accurate for the products being manufactured at the machine.
- Makes sure needed supplies (coloring, closures, cartons, correct labels are being used, etc.) are readily available per shop packet.
- Accurately complete production reports for each product being produced.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic written and oral communication required.
- Teamwork, decision making and problem solving skills needed.
