Warehouse Associate
Summary
Position will be required to perform task related to shipping and receiving finished product and/or raw materials and maintain the warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Loads and verify shipments with bill of lading and packing slip.
- Unloads and receives incoming shipments checking condition and quantity. Makes proper receiving records and delivers material to the proper location.
- Maintains orderliness of warehouse and outside grounds.
- Required to safely operate a forklift or hand truck. Perform safety checks on them at the beginning of each shift.
- Assist in moving finished product from manufacturing area to the warehouse.
- Assist in packaging goods for shipment or storage, including banding and stretch wrapping
- Responsible for staging orders.
- Packaging products for shipment and verify accuracy of outgoing shipment.
- Keeps the warehouse organized and clean.
- Assist with waste removal and recycling.
- Assist in completing monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventories.
- Assist with UPS orders and sale samples.
- Assist with the preventative maintenance on all lift trucks and batteries.
- Maintains or exceeds current operation meets safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED education required.
- Two to three years of experience driving a powered industrial truck.
- One to three years of Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving experience, loading and unloading trailers required.
- Previous inventory experience required.
- Basic written and oral communication with internal and external customers and office equipment skills required.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work with limited supervision.
- Intermediate analytical, project management, decision making, and problem solving skills required.
