Summary

Position will be responsible for performing analysis on product costs and gross margins, perform return on investment analysis for capital spending, assist in the development of manufacturing bills of material, maintain manufacturing cost files, and serve as backup to Business Analyst for quoting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Operations to analyze gross margins for new and existing products making recommendations for improvement
  • Develops return on investment (ROI) analysis for investments in new equipment and tools
  • Provides support & guidance for tracking and analyzing cost savings projects throughout the Company with a focus on manufacturing improvements
  • Partners with Engineering and Operations in the development of manufacturing bills of material, methodology, and best practices
  • Maintains manufacturing cost files for raw materials, labor and overhead
  • Responsible for standard costs and monthly valuation of plant inventories
  • Develop manufacturing machine overhead rates with input from Engineering, Manufacturing, and Accounting.
  • Will serve as backup to Business Analyst for quoting and pricing support in his/her absence
  • Provides support to the Executive Management Team for ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Assists in the improvement and advancement of the Company ERP system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong experience with Excel spreadsheets, ERP systems
  • Very good analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work with limited supervision
