Customer Service Representative

Location: Denver, CO

Summary

Position will be responsible for addressing the needs of customers by ensuring they receive correct pricing and products.

Reports to: Director of Customer Experience & Plant Manager

Salary Range: $20 – $25/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responds to customer inquires on orders, pricing, color matches, inventory stock, technical drawings, material data sheets, shipments and other customer service-related duties.
  • Receives requests for samples and coordinates with plants for shipment of it. Follow up may be expected to secure feedback or secure order.
  • Enters orders for assigned accounts and makes revisions as necessary. Verify information on orders for accuracy against applicable forms and follow-up to ensure shipments are made to meet customer-timed deliveries.
  • Coordinates order dates and scheduled dates with customer and plant; keeps customer and plant informed of changes in any scheduling issues and resolves discrepancies. Obtains releases for shipments and facilitates tracing of shipments with manufacturing plant when requested by customer.
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
  • Recruit and coordinate logistics companies according to availabilities and requirements
  • Conducts all purchasing and transportation activities in a manner that meets or exceeds the requirements of ISO 9001.
  • Assist in handling customer quality complaints. Documents quality problem and the specifics of complaint and communicates effectively to plant and sales for resolution.
  • Assist or perform production scheduling for the machines at the plant.
  • Assist in generating short and long term forecasting and budgeting data by entering appropriate numbers based on customer orders and history of account.
  • Produces order status reports for month to date and/or year to date shipments as required by customer and/or sales.
  • Handles deduction discrepancies working with the customer, plant, and accounting.
  • Assist with the plant is purchasing, as needed.
  • May require on-site customer visits as well as regular plant visits
  • Helps complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventories.
  • Serve as back up to Plant Scheduler and Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor position, as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred.
  • One to three years of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong written and oral communication, computer skills, decision-making, and problem solving skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work with limited supervision.
